Northern Ireland Riding Clubs’ Indoor Championships results.

The Northern Ireland Riding Clubs’ Indoor Mixed Team Championship was held at Portmore Equestrian Centre by kind permission of Mr Seamus Kane and his daughter Chantal.  Riding Clubs are very grateful to the Kane family for their accommodation of this important event in our calendar.  With 23 teams to run through and a start of 10.00a.m. all helpers worked tirelessly to keep things running smoothly to achieve a result by mid afternoon.

The judges made favourable comments on the immaculate turn out of our riders, each and every one an example to other disciplines.

The new organiser Mrs Clare Craig took to the task with efficiently and enthusiasm that contributed to the smooth running of the championship.
Riding Clubs committee is indebted to Mr Ray Buchanan who has designed our courses to encourage our members to aim for success.  The formidable judges panel M/s Fidelma Caroll, Mrs Maureen Lowry and Mrs Pauline Turner worked well together to give us the final result and our thanks go to them and all who helped on the day.
There were seven teams in the jump off which was fast and furious with doubt about the result until the end. The spectators were very vocal in support of their teams, which added to the atmosphere of a very successful day.
