Liaison Committee Information

Northern Ireland Riding Clubs Liaison Committee is made up of two representatives from each of the British Horse Society affiliated riding clubs in the Area.
The movement has now 450 clubs UK. wide in 23 areas. Northern Ireland is Area 23 containing 33 clubs in the Area.

The Liaison Committee meets each month at Lisburn Raquets Club, Lisburn. It also runs the championships and qualifiers in the various disciplines and training for club officials, trainers and judges. In fact anything which needs to be run by an Area. It also provides a means of contact for the clubs.

Another function of the Liaison Committee is hosting Demos which would be too expensive and difficult for an individual club to stage given the high cost of bring top trainers over to the Province.

Information from Stonleigh can be passed on to clubs through the representatives. In fact this is a very important function of the Committee. Problems can be discussed and hopefully resolved.

We hold Championships in Horse Trials, Dressage, Riding Tests, Style jumping and showjumping for affiliated clubs and members. Qualifying competitions in dressage and showjumping have been well supported in recent years where the qualifiers travel to Lincoln where they have been very successful.

Each year the Liaison Committee is responsible for running a selection of events.
